Filling your world with gentle nature images brings me joy.
Welcome to Fine Art For Small Spaces a woman-owned company, where you’ll find a selection of my original art, greeting cards, prints, and bookmarks.
I'm a full-time painter working out of my home studio in Clinton Township, Michigan. I love nature, walks along the lake shore and through the Metro Parks, gardening, feeding the birds, and being a mom to my rescue dogs and cats.
I am excited to be a corporate sponsor of the Wildflower Association of Michigan (WAM) and donate part of all proceeds to help them with their educational and environmental cause! Visit them here: https://wildflowersmich.org/
All of my prints, cards, and bookmarks are made from images of my original paintings and printed and packed with love and care in my studio. You can also enjoy an authentic watercolor or acrylic painting created to last a lifetime!
I have doodled for as far back as I can remember. After art school, I worked in various offices for a few years and realized I missed being outdoors. Painting is how I get rid of the blues and connect with nature during the cold Michigan winters.
Sometimes I paint from snapshots, sometimes from memory. I love experimenting with different techniques and materials, so some of my work is a bit more abstract.
Wholesale inquiries are welcome. Direct links to my distributor sites are under the wholesale tab or just click the links below.

Here is a six minute video of how I created "Winter Chickadee" unrehearsed, just like the birds that flew through my yard in the fall, which inspired me to run inside and paint!
What inspires me to paint:
"The natural world is our prevailing common experience. Creating images of nature, vast or intimate, stirs memories of places and people fondly remembered. The elements of the natural world connect us globally. Water, ever changing from clouds to rain, river to lake and ocean, connects us, sustains us, and provides a common experience. Flowers represent the temporal existence of all living things. Each blossom, shaped by the environment in a unique way, is symbolic of how life shapes all of us."
