Dove and Berries is a miniature watercolor painting of a mourning dove sitting in the Autumn grasses, turning its head left towards some tempting crab apple berries on a branch that has bent low to the ground. Painted from observing mourning doves in my yard. After years of not seeing any due to a short lived law that allowed them to be hunted, they finally regained enough numbers to come back! So sweet and gentle, their cooing always brings the evening to a cozy end.
